my creative space...before and afters

I had a request this week to do some retouching on a photo for a friend, Her dilemma was that there was a thumb in the way!!! It was quite distracting, so I ended up cloning a small piece of cheek from another photo and hey presto, perfect composition achieved!...wouldnt it be nice if we could just retouch all our 'distracting' bits away!!!! I also desaturated it to match another print of her son which is already framed but kept a hint of colour in the flower coz it looked cute!

what do you think about my before and after? Anyone interested in a tutorial?

    A tutorial would be great!! It isn't always that intuitive I find.... So yes yes yes. Love the results.

    I'm currently doing a photography course and have started using photoshop and I feel like I'm learning a whole new language. A tutorial would be awesome.
